The French have long drawn inspiration from Asian art and design. Like the toile patterns of the Rococo our design draws inspiration from Japanese design. By using color, light, and natural inspired surroundings we have created a restaurant that immerses the visitor in a cultural experience. The seaside location of Vieux Port provides the perfect outlet, due to the areas recent focus on infusing more culture into the city. Marseille’s port and fish market create a wonderful opportunity to access the regions freshest fish and seafood, for use in the restaurant. The elements of nature found throughout the space create unity and balance. Colors inspired by the rich Japanese culture itself keeps the design rooted in tradition, while the forms and shapes of contemporary Japanese architecture elevate our restaurant into the modern perspective.
